Course Objectives

At the end of this Impairment Rating course, participants should be able to:

• Describe how impairment ratings are related to workers’ compensation
• Identify the role and responsibilities of the Healthcare Provider in the impairment rating process and use of the AMA Guides, 5th Edition
• Identify the role and responsibilities of the Treating Physician & the QME/consutling Doctor in the work comp system
• Demonstrate proper techniques for Range of Motion, Sensory and Motor testing
• Complete a clinical example of an IR as defined in the AMA Guides, 5th Edition
