Impairment Rating Certification

AAEME is the only organization that offers a “Certification” for Impairment Ratings that is recognized by any workers compensation state. The doctors or persons who pass the test will get a certificate CIRS Certified Impairment Rating Specialist.

Texas has recognized the TIRSAT test to credential and permit their doctors to perform Impairment Ratings for the State of Texas as a Designated Doctor.

Nevada has implemented the NIRSAT test and the doctors will be permitted on their "panel of doctors" to perform impairment Ratings for their workers compensation.

Based on the State that requires it or the general test of CIRS, the outcome is the same. CIRS will prove competence and credibility when a doctor performs impairment ratings. The test is 100 questions which are multiple choice with 80% in the neuro-muscular area and the others in any of the following: respiratory, ENT, cardiac, mental health and return to work.
